  • "If you're looking for full protection and you're going down hard on that rock section or at speed then this Knox Warrior body armour is exactly what you want on. The back coverage is awesome (if a little short) and the front chest is unbeatable at protecting your vitals". Warrior BC9

  • "More comfortable than a fresh pair of new socks, these are a dream to wear. The Knox Cross Lite Knee Guard has a honeycomb knee protector to absorb the big hits that is all enclosed in a tough abrasion resistant fabric. Get gloved up to kill the cold

Exposing hands to the cold and damp isn't just uncomfortable, it can result in painful conditions like frostnip, chilblains and even frostbite. It is therefore crucial to ensure hands are kept properly insulated and dry during any outdoor winter activity.
Knox have added a versatile new glove to the Cold Killers range of thermal clothing to combat the effects of cold and wet conditions on the hands. Designed for activities where both weather protection and control are crucial, Cold Killers City Gloves keep hands properly insulated and dry, whilst still allowing maximum freedom of movement and 'feel'. This makes them ideal for urban motorcycle and scooter riding, cycling, horse riding, winter sports and many more outdoor activities.
Cold Killers City Gloves are constructed from a unique ‘Softshell’ fabric, which features an innovative three-ply laminate; the tough and tightly woven fabric outer and laminated inner membrane prevent wind chill, repel water and are fully breathable; helping to reduce the build-up of moisture around the hand and fingers. The 3-D 'check fleece' liner allows warm air to circulate round the hand and fingers, and offers a cosy and soft feel.
Cold Killers City Gloves are also extremely flexible - thanks to the Softshell's Active Stretch technology - ensuring unrestricted hand movement and eliminating ‘tight spots'. In addition, elasticated sections across the back of the hand and cuff, and a Velcro-adjustable fastener at the wrist, also ensure a snug fit and day-long comfort.
Topping off the City Gloves impressive specification is a durable and flexible non-slip covering on the palm and lower finger areas, which offers a firm grip and is double layered in 'high wear' areas for a long life. Cold Killers City Gloves are available in sizes S-XL, at an RRP of £19.99.

Unlucky 13 for Craig Bounds in Dakar Rally

Knox-protected Craig Bounds was knocked out of this year's Dakar rally when his engine failed 26km into stage 13. Stranded in the dunes he was unable to get his bike to the end of the stage by himself or with the help of another competitor, effectively removing him from the race.

Craig has had a great run and it seems cruel that having covered 8323km of 8937km he should suffer a blown engine on a bike renowned for its reliability. Finishes of 18th on stage 2 and two other positions higher than 25th after the rest day show that his pace was never lacking and that it was increasing as the race went on.

Next year the Dakar returns home to Africa and Planet Knox wish Craig well for the future ....

Knox is Dakar Bounds

UK rally champion Craig Bounds has been testing Knox off-road protection to the limit in this year's Dakar rally. A record crowd of over 800,000 people witnessed 160 riders set off from the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. Craig is one of only six Brits fighting to get to the finish of this gruelling 9,000KM event. A trial of both man and machine, crossing the finish line is a major achievement in itself.

Climb every mountain

At Knox we take product testing pretty seriously; this is our managing director, Geoff Travell, on the top of a mountain in the Lake District just after the New Year.

When not riding his 150 horse power Suzuki GSX-R750 motorcycle (which is not the most practical transport on icy roads) Geoff switches to his 2-leg power Cube mountain bike.

Whatever he rides Geoff takes the opportunity to put the latest developments in Knox CE protection and Cold Killers wind proof clothing through its paces.

So you can rely on Knox, because we do!
